Mike Caulfield is the director of blended and networked learning at Washington State University, Vancouver (WSU). He also heads the Digital Polarization Initiative of the American Democracy Project, a multi-school pilot to change the way that online media literacy is taught. His work includes preparing students for research through accessible skills to validate facts in our information-saturated, online world. This effort includes his openly published curriculum on “Web Literacy for Student Fact-Checkers.” Consequently, Mike has been described as one of “a few genuinely original people doing important and critically consequential work” in the field of educational technology.
